What are APA’s policies regarding the creation and deletion/archiving of content on its website?

WWW.apa.org is a large and dynamic website, with tens of thousands of pages. Content is created by APA for the purpose of educating the public and providing information to members, allied professionals, policymakers, the public and the news media. To keep the site current and to improve search results, the editors regularly delete or archive pages that are out of date, superseded by more recent information or have been rarely, if ever, visited in the prior year. Deletion/archiving decisions are based on analysis of search results and site activity. If you are looking for previously posted information that has been removed, please contact web@apa.org and our staff will do their best to help you locate the information.
