Volume 2, Number 4, September 2004 ACT honors outstanding student advocatesThe APAGS Advocacy Coordinating Team (ACT) congratulates its State Advocacy Coordinators and Campus Representatives for their outstanding efforts as part of the ACT Network, which advocates for psychology's legislative issues and serves as a conduit for information exchange between graduate students and APAGS.
The following students were recognized between March and May 2004. The ACT Excellence in Leadership Award winners are: Edna Acosta-Perez, of the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Pedras and state advocacy coordinator for Puerto Rico; Julie Jenks-Kettman, of the University of Iowa and state advocacy coordinator for Iowa; Diana Marchetti, of the University of Montana and state advocacy coordinator for Montana. The ACT Campus Leadership Award winners are: Nikki Nieset, Arizona State University; Jessica Foley, Nova Southeastern University; Nathan Pruitt, Marquette University; Richard Adams, The Forest Institute; Codi James, Argosy University/Seattle; Amber Johnson, Argosy University/Seattle; John Dencoff, University of New Mexico; Brian Willoughby, University of Miami; Kate Fiori, University of Michigan; and Lovingly Quintana, California School of Professional Psychology, San Francisco Bay.
