American Psychological Foundation Announces the Winners of the 2017 National Register Internship Partnership Fund Grants
The Children's Hospital Colorado and the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Internship Training in Clinical Psychology each received $10,000 from the APF/National Register Internship Partnership Fund toward creating a new internship placement slot. These new grants are designed to help close the internship gap.
The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio (UTHSCSA) currently provides generalist training to 10 pre-doctoral interns in the department of psychiatry. Dr. Stacy Ogbeide, internship program director, will use the grant to expand the pre-doctoral internship program. The funds will allow UTHSCSA to recruit an additional intern to complete a year-long training program, participating in two major rotations as well as several year-long clinical activities.
Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) is a private, not-for-profit pediatric healthcare network that is dedicated to caring for kids at all ages and stages of growth. Dr. Jenna Glover, internship program director of the Pediatric Mental Health Institute at CHCO, will use the grant to recruit an additional intern for the training program.
