Boards and Committees Reporting Directly to the Council of Representatives
Council Leadership Team
The team manages the work of council, determines the process for council to select topics for strategic issue discussions and provides recommendations on agenda items that council would consider.
Policy and Planning Board
Considers current and long-range policy and reviews the structure and function of APA as a whole.
Standing Boards and Committees
Standing boards and committees are established by the APA Bylaws and report to APA's Council of Representatives through the Board of Directors. They cannot be modified or sunset without a vote of membership.
Continuing committees are established by the Council of Representatives and are described in the Association Rules. They may be modified or sunset by a vote of council.
Ad Hoc Committees and Task Forces
Ad hoc groups (task forces, working groups, panels, etc.) are appointed by standing or continuing committees for a specific purpose and a limited time.
